It's day 3 and it's a good day!

Sharing the morning sun with Lola and babies.

Supervising a newborn litter of pups is a 24/7 full-time role, it is especially important and vital for a healthy mamma too. Sometimes the stress of it can take a toll on our family lives, but the experience of watching something so beautiful in such a short period of time couldn't be traded for the world.

Anxiety can occur, especially to all parties involved during this crucial time. Anything can go wrong in a split second, so we are consistently vigilant to counter issues that can cause serious risk. Being with Lola at this special time is a must. and her trust with us is astounding to say the least. But... what is one to do when things are quiet in the nest? Well, it's time to wake up, pour a strong bulldog cup of coffee and get the day started!

Everyone is healthy, growing, and gaining weight at a steady pace. Bless this peace while it last.

Feeding time is always fun. This go around, Halley's Comet decided to pass out in the midst of feeding which led to some adorably hilarious photo ops and video's.

It is always neat to see the little ones developing their muscles and neural systems while sleeping. Funny enough, her first loud "WOOF!" came out in the afternoon much to our surprise.

Working hard as Lola's doula, she is giving the diva treatment. Food and water brought when she demands, messages, treats... you name it, she gets it. Once her needs are met, what to do with some of the free time in the nursery?

Thinking of the future, the fun part begins. The start of one of our favorite gifts, the Puppy Packs! This was a great way to spend the time while still involving the whole family.

These are the times that we are thankful with how much love, support, and strength our family has. Even when things get hectic and crazy, we always pull through no matter what. Here is to hoping that the up coming days will be just as good as this, if not better!

On a side note:

Being the author to this, I can’t say enough how lucky I am to have Rob‘s patience and support through this endeavour. Thank you and I love you so much honey bee!
